That sounds a lot like something a policeman would say
To protect and bamboozle
hey it's me, ur not policeman
The front says JK I am Police backwards so you can read it in the mirror.
"I'm not police smoke a marijuana"
If you ask a cop if he's a cop, he's like obligated to tell you. It's in the Constitution.
It's entrapment then!
"Hello, fellow citizens"
No. If sovereign citizens have teached me anything, is that policemen aren't allowed to lie about them being cops.
Give em the ol' razzle dazzle
I don't know. I'm pretty convinced with that handwriting.
"If they're a cop they have to tell you!"
If you are police you have to tell me
A lot of the people replying to me wouldn't know a joke if it punched them in the face. Please stop spamming me with laws and conduct. I was making a joke
What would someone who's not police say? Asking for a friend.
I wonder if any department has done that before. Lol
No we wouldnt. 🙄
It's a trap!!!!!
If you're a cop you can't lie about it man!
The right lawyer gets you off on entrapment.
Front bumper says "I lied, now pull the fuck over!"
I honestly thought it was a cop playing a trick.
Not falling for that a fifth time.
Five times? Perhaps you should revise your strategy or just stop speeding.
Yeah, but what about the banana in the tailpipe?
It's damn hard to read with a closing speed of 50mph.
Op from Winnipeg or at least MB
I'd recognize that tree line license plate anywhere
Winnipeg’s gonna win the fucking cup
Gotta be Winnipeg. Winnipeg Transit logo on the bus stop.
I could tell by the shit colored snow and bad roads. Ha ha ha
Definitely Winnipeg. The bus stop sign is unique to the city.
The bus sign tells me wpg.
confimed Winnipeg. Look at that glorious Orange Wpg Transit Logo!
Canadian, eh? Must be telling the truth then.
Yup, I've seen this car on the perimeter before
Yup. I’d recognize our friendly, ugly, bison-clad plate under ANY purple squiggle.
Yeah I saw this along bishop grandin
winnipeg is good.
Fool me once, shame on you. But teach a man to fool me, and i'll be fooled for the rest of my life.
"Fool me once....shame on...... shame on you....Fool m-.. can't get fooled again!" - George W. Bush
Why do we get fooled mr Wayne? So we can learn to get fooled again!
Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice fiddle-di-dee
Used to drive a police interceptor for a few years, threw a vinyl troll face on the back. Often caught people laughing in my rear view
Why did you throw it?
That’s how they get you
On the front bumper it says (mirrored) “haha, yeah I am. Pull over. “
Come for the fishing, stay because you got stabbed
Wow. Another Manitoban on Reddit. Hello!
It's funny whenever something from MB, or Winnipeg hits the front page it's like there's a beacon that goes out. Winnipeggers crawl out of the woodwork and are everywhere
My Manitoba brethren
That is a Manitoba license plate.
It's a trap
Send no reply.
That's like these things:
wow, that's dirty!
I just commented saying it reminded of this before checking comments. Thanks!
You’re not fooling me, copper, I know your tricks.
Nickel on the other hand gets me every damn time.
Nice try copper.
I'm not sure why people are afraid to pass cops. If you're going the speed limit and obeying traffic laws you won't have a problem.
Most people regularly drive a little over the speed limit though since they’re usually lower than they need to be. Most cops don’t care but you never know
Because the police are not there to protect and serve, the police are there too and fine and entangle
I haven't seen the departments around me using Crown Vic's for unmarked cop cars for a long time now. These days most of the police vehicles are the newer ford explorers or other similar SUV's, so those are the ones that are always making me paranoid when I see them on the street, especially if they have dark tint. So annoying having one of them behind me
Saw this guy driving down regent yesterday haha
Shoutout Winnipeg! Ive definitely seen that car!
Even undercover police cars will have antennas on it. It’s 100% necessary for all their equipment and radios. Unless it’s a cop in civies on an undercover sting (who obviously wouldn’t be running traffic), there is always a way to know if a vehicle is a cop car.
Not true. Bro in law is sheriff and did undercover work for years with no antennas, no spots.
Problem is in Canada they often strip their cop cars and sell them in auctions, and so they still have a lot of equipment which makes it look like a cop car. My friend bought one from a police auction and even the police stopped him thinking his car was a cop car.
not true. i have seen multiple honda odyssey cops where i live and my mom also owns the same year oddyssey. they look 100% the same from the outside. exactly the same. you know how on unmarked tahoe's or suburban's you can still see a couple extra lights on the back or something? not with this thing. not a single thing out of place from a normal honda oddyssy
Not always true. That's how you used to recognize an unmarked copper, but nowadays there isn't always visible antennas.
You can't always spot it though, I've seen lots of cop cars run the antenna along the side of the car, above the doors instead of having them stick straight up in the air. Less conspicuous that way.
I really dont know how anyone cant tell an undercover from a civilian car. Especially black ones.
Here in Québec City, the only antenna you can see on cop cars is a little plate about 20 cm of diameter and 2-3cm high around the back of the roof.
I usually check to see if the windows are tinted. If you can see through, you won’t see blue!
Don't they have a second mirror on the driver's side, usually?
This is absolutely wrong. Unmarked and undercover police are entirely different. MOST UNMARKED will have antennas.
Aren't all unmarked cop cars legally required to have a special license plate so people can identify them if pulled over? How else would you be able to tell if it is a cop and not some psycho with a police interceptor?
Also their license plates will have no letters in them or just one letter. But if you're close enough to see that you're probably screwed anyway (if you're breaking the law)
This isn't true. But its also not typically something you'd see. Even so, they can purchase antennas that are very difficult to see until its too late.
The modern unmarked Ford Interceptors must have all the antennas integrated into the glass and body (like the radio antennas on most modern cars), because they definitely don't have whips on top.
Oh man, I just fucking love the Crown Victoria. JUST LOVE IT. PURE LOVE. ❤️
Is that a Manitoba plate? I could be very wrong.
You’re correct. Same colour scheme, little bison in the top corner.
Good old Manitoba!!
I always thought it would be funny to watch how people drive around you thinking you were a cop....for about 1 day,and likely then get extremely annoying. Especially people in front of you slowing down.
I got a decommissioned police car at a police auction. It's all white, still has the spot light.
Can confirm, drove an 87 RCMP interceptor Crown Vic in the early 90s
Canadians are just honestly the nicest people
Some are, some are dicks (that's right Android, I didn't mean ducks)
Manitoba license plate?
Yeah...that's the police...
I drive one of these as well... It's super annoying when you're just trying to pedal down and everyone hits their brakes because they think you're a cop.
Ya that's Winnipeg
Sounds like what a cop would say....
Definitely a cop
The lights are unique you can spot them a mile away at night.
That's what I do. You can still see the extra lights inside the vehicle by the window's since they have to flash those lights to pull you over.
I would install spot dual spot lights and black out the windows.
A true hero would have this painted backwards on his front bumper. "Not a cop, go faster"
It's not everyday I see an ex police cruiser from my own hometown on Reddit. Nice!
Sounds like a trick to me . Break the glass and check .
How many police cars are actually white Crown Vics these days?
Not many anymore... Ford stopped making them and modified Ford Tauruses instead. They are much more expensive, though. so most police now use modified Dodge Chargers, as they are the cheapest. They are also quite small on the inside, so you don't want to be in the back of one... not that you'd want to be in the back of one anyways.
The criteria for heroism seems to have dropped a lot lower than I expected.
Disclaimer All of the old police interceptors in Ontario have already been retired. They are now newer model ford fusions or other SUVs...
I just don't understand why everyone on the road starts going 10 mph under the speed limit when they see a random cop, who is usually going 10 mph over the speed limit
drives me insane, especially on the interstate. driving hack - you can legally pass a cop if your doing the speed limit 😑
Holy shit thats my hometown. People always complained about this guy because he bought an old police car when the local PD upgraded.
What area is it in? And also, why would people complain? There are a ton of retired cop cars on the street.
Fact we have to think about passing about a cop is troublesome.
I pass them all the time when they’re going under running tags on the highway, I got shit to do.
Brb writing this on the police cruisers in my town
Hello fellow Manitoban!
Some of the guys who I went to school with had dad's that were/are police officers. So, naturally some of these guys had a hard-on for being a cop and the power possessed. The first car a lot of them bought was exactly what you can imagine. They liked the thought even if fleeting that they might be cops. Out of the three who tried to be cops they all failed because of power trip I imagine. 1 is still hoping to become a cop so he is in the cadet program another became a bylaw officer and who knows about the third.
I remember having a retired police car and now I see why cops hate people. Once anybody saw my car they lose all ability to drive or make quick rational decisions. Extremely dumb, I remember some old fuck think I was spying on his house when I was waiting for my friend Finally the last time he stuck his dumb fucking face out I told him to go the fuck back inside or I'm gonna drag him out by his balding fucking hair.
Where my sister lives there’s a guy with that same style car whose plates say NOT A COP. Best vanity plates ever.
Are the spotlights on cruisers integral to the frame of the vehicle? Why do they never remove them?
Why bother? You'd just have a hole to fill.
Guessing they get paid by the car, not the hour lol
Friendly Manitoba plates!
Maybe it's just a Michigan thing but don't all police vehicles have an X in the middle of the plate? That's what I use to determine if they're police or not.
In Ontario, depending on if it's local, provincial or federal, they'll have their own kind of plate. I haven't been back in a bit so I forgot what the identifiers are.
YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
Stay classy, Winnipeg...
Holy crap! It IS Winnipeg! Elmwood area?
Thats why you buy those though right?
And then- a plot twist
That cop is so deep undercover that he said he wasn’t a cop
Seems like something a civilian could do to help lower crime rates as much as he can.
No police depts use Crown Vics anymore where I am. It's pretty safe to assume they're all owned by private individuals by now.
As someone who drives a Crown Victoria, I can relate
I always slow down for all fords, chevys, and dodges that look remotely cop-like
i drive a silver crown vic and it looks exactly like an unmarked cop car. everybody thinks im a cop which can be good and bad. i put a couple stickers on the back so people behind me know im not the percolator, but people in front of me always think im a cop. i need to do something like this on my front bumper
Your police drive such old cars, I think ours get new ones every 3 years
This reminds me of the cop car that's half taxi at the back.
in Italy it's the opposite: if you don't pass the police it means you have something to hide. I always pass them slow police patrols and I was never stopped. obviously I did not do that in the USA!
pass cops all the time in the US. never a problem. just paranoia and distrust. funny how cops are racist, mean, egotistical pricks until you need one then suddenly they are superman. just don’t do illegal shit and be respectful. if you are unfortunate enough to encounter an officer that’s doing shady shit, don’t argue, ask reasonable questions (what did i do? am i being detained? why? etc.). be polite and get details (name, location time conditions witnesses. get out of the situation ASAP and report it later. arguing only ends badly for you even if you’re right.
I get the feeling that wasn't done by choice, but instead it was vandalized by a pissed off motorist or neighbor as a dick move, and I believe it remains there because the person was like 'fuck it, whatever' or 'didn't have the money to change it'.
Do we pronounce it as ur or ur?
Me and my buddy got free weed one night because we pulled in behind some college kids in his crown Vic and they dumped their weed and drove off.
I don't know if it's country wide, but in North Carolina, you can tell whether a vehicle is an unmarked vehicle based on their license plate. If its orange, it's an unmarked police vehicle. Unmarked state troopers' license plates will look normal but will start with SHP. You can also distinguish them from normal vehicles by the excessive amount of antennas.
With this logic, im a hero for declaring not to be a villain
Nice try mr. policeman person. Not today *drives slowly behind the 'not a cop car' leaning over the steering wheel like a pentionist, causing a massive traffic jam behind.
Trickier and trickier
My dad used to drive the same car as undercover police would, so nobody would cut him off on the road because they thought he was a cop. It was pretty nice.
There’s one in my neighborhood that got a custom plate that says NOTACOP. Pretty hilarious.
Similar car in my area has a "not fuzz" plate
Those sneaky prairie police.
Whipanegg, Manibooba. The winters are tough but the people are tougher.
Is there a police department anywhere in the US that still uses Crown VICs? If they do they probably are police cars by day and taxis by night...
It's a trap!
Does he live and love in your home town? Does he have a dear heart? And is he gentle people?
Hmmm. Sounds like something a cop would say.
On the one hand, it's not badged as an interceptor.
Saw this guy a couple of days ago. Burst out laughing when he passed me. Now I see him on reddit. Small world.
probably more effective keeping the peace too
Thats exactly what an undercover would say.
